Project Description

This project aims to improve knowledge systems in regenerative agriculture in small and medium sized farms in Ukraine, Poland, and Slovakia. It will create a training and on-farm experimentation package for young agricultural advisors (i.e. under 40) in agricultural extension and transition to regenerative agriculture. The lessons and outputs will integrate with EIT Food learning activities and fill training gaps identified by other EIT Food programmes.

We aim to train 360 young agronomists in their ability to advise and educate farmers in transitioning to regenerative agriculture in Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine. In 3 EIT Food accredited online training courses we will offer insights on the transition to regenerative agriculture, the necessary educational skills and a method called visual problem appraisal. This support is complemented by practical farmer field schools and field days where we demonstrate practices and tools in the different countries.

Our project activities

Climate Farmers designs the online course on regenerative agriculture composed of interactive sessions with local experts, self-study videos and reading materials and interactive quizzes to test the learning progress. At the end of the course the participants receive a certificate for its completion.
