Podbukovc transition to regenerative farming

Farm History

• Robert’s mother inherited the farm on 1976 from her father. Together with Robert’s father, they developed the farm and introduced practices such as crop rotation.

• Although Robert and his wife were not farmers themselves, they recognized the importance of keeping the farm in the family. Today, they have ambitious plans for the farm’s future.

• Their four children, especially Alex, are already actively involved and are committed to continuing the farm’s legacy.

Challenges we want to address with the transition

• Better defence from invasive forest (ferns and thornbushes on meadows)
• Better pasture management
• More resilience in drought periods
• Lack of biodiversity
• Less manual labour with clean-up mowing
